How To Use This Medicine
Use this medicine exactly as directed on the label, unless instructed differently by your doctor
* BEFORE USING THIS MEDICINE, tell your doctor if you have ever had any unusual or allergic reaction to SULFONAMIDES (sulfa
drugs).
* Take this medicine WITH food, a meal, or a snack. Do not take on an empty stomach.
* This medicine may increase urination, take early during the day or as directed.
* Use this medicine for the full prescribed treatment period. DO NOT skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor.
What To Do If You Miss A Dose
Take when remembered unless time for next dose. No double doses.
How To Store This Medicine
Keep in original closed container in a dark, cool, and dry place away from children. Discard unneeded medicine.

Call Your Doctor Immediately If You Experience
Rapid heart rate; Drowsiness; Dizziness; Unusual tiredness or weakness; Nausea; Muscle cramps; Irregular heartbeat; Severe skin
reactions; Vomiting; Diarrhea; Sore throat; Fever; Swelling of feet or lower legs; Difficulty breathing; Difficulty swallowing;
Chest pain; Swelling usually of face or lips.
Other Side Effects
Skin rash; Headache; Change in taste; Cough; Burning pain, tingling, or numbness; Feeling of general discomfort; Itching;
Insomnia; Dry mouth; Constipation; Abdominal discomfort or pain; Decreased appetite; Baldness; Protein found in urine; Changes
in urination frequency or amount; Dizziness when getting up; Pulmonary edema; A small hemorrhage; Kidney inflammation;
Yellowing of eyes or skin; Skin inflammation; Blurred vision; Abnormal blood cell count; Low blood pressure; Vertigo;
Impotence; Stomach or intestinal irritation; Bloating; High uric acid level; High blood sugar level; High calcium level; Low
chloride level; Low magnesium level; Decreased sexual desire; Loss of consciousness (fainting); Increased sensitivity to
sunlight; Muscle pain; Joint pain; Indigestion; Depression; Confusion; Inability to coordinate muscle activity; High

If symptoms are mild but do not go away or are bothersome, check with your doctor. IF ANY OF THE ABOVE SIDE EFFECTS IS SEVERE,
CALL YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.
Precautions And Warnings
* There are no adequate or well-controlled safety studies in pregnant women. NOTIFY YOUR DOCTOR IF PREGNANT or intend to become
pregnant.
* STOP TAKING MEDICINE & GET EMERGENCY HELP IMMEDIATELY IF A HYPERSENSITIVITY OR ANAPHYLACTIC REACTION occurs: (see symptoms
below):-
* SYMPTOMS OF HYPERSENSITIVITY (eg, fever, rash, itching, difficulty breathing, vision problems, fatigue, nausea, vomiting,
diarrhea, abdominal pain).
* This medicine may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting. Avoid sudden changes in posture. BE CAREFUL and slowly sit up
or stand up.
* AVOID concurrent use of alcohol or other CNS depressants as it may intensify the drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness
effect of this medicine.
* LUPUS-like syndromes, or exacerbation of lupus erythmatosus have occurred in patients receiving this medicine.
* This medicine may cause increased sensitivity to the sun. You should AVOID prolonged or excessive exposure to direct and/or
artificial sunlight.
* Because of INTERACTION with other drugs, report the use of any other prescription and nonprescription medicines to your
doctor.
* The results of some MEDICAL or LAB tests may be affected by this medicine. Inform the doctor in charge that you are taking
this medicine.
* This medicine may increase BLOOD SUGAR levels in diabetics, dose adjustment of antidiabetic agents may be necessary.
* Watch for signs of HIGH BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS (fruity mouth odor, increased hunger, increased thirst, increased urination,
fatigue, blurred vision).
* DO NOT DRINK alcoholic beverages or take alcohol-containing preparations while being treated with this medicine without
physicians approval.
* This medicine may cause GOUT attacks. Contact physician if significant sudden joint pain occurs.
* This medicine may cause increased levels of cholesterol and/or other lipids. Use with caution if you have moderate to high
lipid concentrations.
* DO NOT USE POTASSIUM supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium without consulting your physician.
* A persistent dry COUGH may occur and usually does not subside unless this medicine is stopped. If it becomes bothersome,
consult your physician.
* This medicine may cause BLOOD PROBLEMS resulting in certain infections, slow healing, and gum bleeding. Be careful when
toothbrushing and flossing.
* It is important that your doctor monitor your BLOOD CELL COUNTS at regular intervals.
* This medicine may cause false test results with some urine tests. If you are DIABETIC, check with your doctor before changing
diabetes regimen.
